Shapes

December 4, 2009

Today, I looked out of the window, and saw this awesome cloud formation right in front of my window, sprawled across the sky. It looks like a flat white sheet, and cirrus bits forming a detailed pattern across its length, and gentle wisps far right where the cloud has ended.

It’s so pretty!

Now I feel recharged to take the day once again. Sale of Goods beckons! (:

..mm, whatcha say.

Fairy Lights make me feel happy.
Little shining bulbs of vunderful colours, which flicker in beats and rhythms.

November 15, 2009

We ordered pizza in tonight, and the lady at the other end of the telephone asked me, Would I like some garlic bread and some wedges with my order at 1.99 each?

I said yes, even though I didn’t quite know why I did so.

November 14, 2009

Swirls and swirls of dusty, grey clouds cover the entirety of the sky, blocking all light from the sun, and casting the land with shadows as far as the eye can see.

It has been a depressing day in Sheffield today, incessant rain, and strong gales, and the need to seek that ray of sunlight, of warmth.

Please go away, the dark demons of the sky, and make me feel happy again.

~

November 2, 2009

Such a long time since the last update. I’ve long been back in Sheffield, and have watched the trees around turn from green to a patchwork of red and gold leaves, and now, watching them fall leaf by leaf to the ground, in anticipation for the harsh cold of Winter.

Well, it has been one whirlwind summer for me. Of revelations, of heart wrenching stuff, of skeletons which were hiding in dark musty closets, them revealing themselves to the world in a flurry of evony bones and dried sinews, and of tears and anger and resignation.

All in all, it’s good to be back in dear old Sheffield. Yeah, I miss being around the family, the aunt, the kids, and the dad, and the late night shenanigans, and random prata outings, but it’s good to be back. Physically away from all the horrible things that are now kept hidden at the back of my mind, till it’s time to sweep the thin layer of dust that’s accumulated on them little boxes of “To Be Cleared” and deal with them. Till then, it’s all good.

Empty!

June 6, 2009

Packing, packing. And now, the room is empty!

No more postcards and random things stuck onto the walls. No more cluttered table. No more textbooks staring ominously from the shelves! And the room -actually- feels echoey.

Last night here in Q74. Next school year, I’d be in L54. I’m gonna miss it here! the vantage point I have over the opposite blocks, especially!

But oh wells, if things got to change, they gotta change!

This will be a good summer (: And I can’t wait to go home (: to all my dearest friends back home.and random afflictions of prata craving, and chilling out at Happy Daze.

<3

Oh btw, exams went well. But totally forgot one topic of insanity, which I blanked out and stoned. And couldn't remember anything except the case name 0_0 but who freaking cares. (:

Hopefully the examiner thinks I did ok as well! wooo~

i think –

May 21, 2009

The exams suck Ok. I don’t think that, I KNOW that. ):

And I’m falling sick. Someone, just kill me now. ):

I don’t think I can cram another case into my damned head, but I still got Land to go, so now, all I want to do is kill myself and hope a miracle will make it all better.

But i know that will never happen, and therefore I have to sit here, and slowly forcefeed myself with information till I suffer form a brain hemorrhage and die a horrible death.

DIE, EXAMS, DIEEEEEEEEEEEEE. D:

ok, what a long hiatus

April 24, 2009

Actually, it wasn’t a hiatus. More like a I am bored with life, and I need something to do before I die of boredom kind of state, and nothing much’s happening.

But amsterdam made it all better. (:
Thanks Jas for a lovely wonderful time, and I laughed so much that it was enough for the next month. We were both cackling witches weren’t we? (:

Ok, back to essays!

Love you darling, always and always. <3

Sorry, been busy with work, and really bogged down with seminars and essays. ): but after wednesday, I will update!

If you’re having a bad time, hang in there! It will end soon. :) love!

February 26, 2009

Today’s a cold day, a morning colder than the other mornings for a while. And the sun’s gone missing. Oh dear.

Realized this morning that I should have read another chapter for my property seminar today. Shit. I’m screwed. And I’m hungry. And cold. what a combination.

Eyelid keeps twitching. Irritating.

*

What a bunch of confuddled emotions!

Quite unfitting, considering that the previous template name was termed “Chaotic Soul” when snow in all its whiteness is supposed to be the epitome of purity and calm.

First seminar of the term, and I have to say. I am sufficiently bored. (:

Yay!

Okay, a Polished up entry.

February 22, 2009

Forgotten about Polish pictures, till I read Maymay’s comment. All the nice edited pictures sitting there on my folder all ready to be uploaded.

cimg47691

A Random Theatre in Warsaw, Krakowskie Przedmiescie (I can never ever pronounce this road name!)

cimg4783

Right in front of the Presidential Palace, Krakowskie Przedmiescie

cimg4794

New buildings in the Old Town. It’s quite an irony, coz most of the Old Town is no more than 40 years old, whilst the New Town is about 400 years old. Most of Warsaw was destroyed during the War right at the end when the Germans were retreating, and about 85% of Warsaw’s finest buildings were destroyed, including the Royal palaces and the surrounding buildings. In the guidebook it says, “Most of the rooms in the royal palace are gaurded by a team of eagle- eyed old women, and all of them are almost always older than the building itself”. LOL.

cimg4824

Beetroot Borsch Soup, with mini meat dumplings, and Sour Rye Soup. This place was a really good Jewish restaurant, in the New Town area. I think I had venison that day for lunch, and Sue had a plate of cold herrings. And kick ass prices also. Mains averaged 7 pounds, starters 3.

cimg4840

Little Children’s Corner in the place where we had desserts after our jewish meal. It’s called “I like” in Polish, and it’s apparently the only cafe/ coffee house which the locals respected. Cakes averaged 1.5o pounds, drinks 2. (;

cimg4861

A snowy Warsaw on our third day. Woke up to snow pouring down, and at least it ebbed a little when we went out.

cimg48691

Pierogi goodness! This is a staple Polish dish, with flour dumplings stuffed with all sorts of fillings, the most popular being wild mushrooms, cabbage, or meat. This was at a Communist milk bar, popularised during the Polish’s Communist, where food was sold at a highly subsided rate. This was about 3 zlty, which is about 80p, and good for a meal (:

cimg4880

Palace of Culture and Science – A massive building with 2 musuems, a library, office space and god knows what. This was a present from Stalin to communist Poland. Apparently the local do not like that place. Nicknames included things like the useless cake, or the White Elephant. But the only redeeming feature is that sky view at the tip of the building, where a panoramic view of Warsaw awaited you. And in the guidebook, it says “That’s the only nice thing as that’s the only place you can get a view of Warsaw without the building in it”. LOL.

cimg4906

Pawiak Prison Musuem – Momentoes and Name plates of the dead of the Prison. Pawiak was a high security political prison right in the middle of Warsaw’s old Jewish quarter, and most of it was bombed when the Germans retreated. All’s left is the front area with the bombed cement walls still remaining, and the barbed fenced walls as well.

cimg4947

Polish trains – This was definitely a fun thing! The first day we reached Krakow, we took off for Warsaw straightaway, and bought tickets on the express train to Krakow which would take us there in 3 hours. However, there was an accident on the way there. I think it was the electrical lines on top of the trains that snapped, and one of the lamp on the poles next to the tracks snapped off as well, and went straight into our wagon. At that time me and sue were out cold, coz we had a very tiring morning (reached the Airport at 12 midnight, and sat ard till 4 am before we could check in), and so we decided to fuck it and crash on the train to warsaw. And yea. we were stuck on the tracks for like… 3 hours or so? An adventure coz we didn’t know what the announcements were all about, and I had to go asking the entire wagon of passengers what they were saying. And after the Intercity trains came, and we had to drag our luggages off, down to the tracks (which were about a metre down) and hobble on the rocks on the tracks, and climb up the next train and drag our luggages up. By the time we go to Warsaw, we were ABSOLUTELY knackered.

cimg4960

First lunch at Babci Manci –

from the left clockwise: Pierogies stuffed with cabbage and mushroom with lard, polish pork chops, hungarian goulash in a bread bowl, and my deep fried fish with mash.

cimg4969

A cathedral in the town square – they play a bugle call on every hour, and this has been the case for a long while. The call will stop abruptly midway, and continue after a while. A long time ago, during a war, Krakow was saved from disaster by a watch man who alerted everyone to the invasion using his bugle, but he was shot in the throat by an arrow, at the point where the music stops. Afterwards, he continues and finishes the song. And thus to commemorate his bravery, they have been playing the bugle call every hour, complete with pause.

cimg4972

In the middle of the Town Square

cimg5011

Wawel – in the royal Cathedral, where most of Poland’s influential historical figures are buried in. A lot of kings, queens and whoever knows resides in the catacombs below. LOL.

cimg5019

The old Krakowskian palace

cimg5045

Traipsing in Krakow’s Jewish quarter, looking at old cathedrals, and cemetaries.

cimg5067

The infamous slogan, “Arbeit Macht Frei” – or Work brings Freedom. Considering the fact that prisoners had to march through this gate to work, and back, it was definitely very very ironic.

cimg5068

Rows of electric fence surrounding the camp at Aushwitz

cimg5073

Cell blocks, now turned into exhibition halls.

cimg5074

This gave me creeps. The block on the right was nicknamed the Block of Death, where a court would pass judgment on the prisoners, and the “guilty” ones were dragged to the wall right in the middle and shot there. The basement of the Block of Death houses the torture chambers, where prisoners were punished in a variety ways. Like. there was a Suffocation room, where prisoners were shoved into a small room about 50 at a time, with just a small hole 10 cm by 10 cm at thet top of the room for slight oxygen. There was a standing room also. A tiny room of about 1 metre by a metre i think. 4 or 5 prisoners were put in there overnight, and they couldn’t sit, nor sleep, and after a night in the room, they were made to work, and the thing repeated over and over. I couldn’t remember the rest. I wanted out of that place asap. It was so creepy, and I didn’t dare to look much into the rooms around me. I was mentally willing the person in front of me to walk faster.

cimg5094

This was in Birkenau, about 3 km away. Basically this was their toilet, where they did their stuff before and after work. Just like that. -shudders-

cimg5103

Again, long long rows of electrical barbed fence.

cimg5113

The ruins of the Birkenau Gas chambers, where up to 2000 people could be gassed at a time at maximum capacity. It was a death factory. After being gassed, prisoner workers would have to remove their items and also shave their hair off, remove all gold tooth fillings and cremate their bodies. And the ashes were dumped in a pond or sold to the neighbouring farms as fertiliser.

***************************
AND, that basically sums up my trip in a few pictures, and words.

Haven’t been updating;

February 12, 2009

Been occupied with stuff lately. Start of school, a couple of house parties, and much sleep. and the sweetest dog called Ellie.

First, Poland. It was overall a very good trip. I had plenty of fun and good food (and I didn’t fall sick, hah). And the Polish are amazingly friendly. Shopping malls stay open till 10, and they have ladybird stuff there too. Any place with ladybirds is a good place in my books (:

Had the most amazing foods in Poland. Their beetroot borsch soup with dumplings is -omg- heavenly. And their pierogies, and their pork cutlets, and their crazily cheap Communist Milk Bar food, complete with grounchy staff and cheap interior.

And I went snappy snap snap with my film cam. I need to finish another roll before I can go “wash” them.

And Poland opened my eyes to the realities of how greed, jealousy and insanity can deal onto humanity. The intensity of Aushwich and Birkenau left me utterly speechless. And thoroughly revolted.

I remember there was this room in the building (ex cell block) which housed all the exhibits which constituted all the evidence of the massacre of all the people imprisoned. Once killed (at up to 2000 at a time), women had their hair shaved off, and their hair was used for other items like mattresses or soldier uniform collars. And in that room, in about a glass enclosure of 30m by 5 metres, and AT LEAST a metre deep, was just a sea of hair, with identifiable plaits and some with clips still on.

I felt like puking.

And whilst we were walking through the gas chambers (omg. scary), I felt so cold, even though I was wearing 3 layers with a coat. The hairs on my neck stood, and I kept shivering throughout that short walk through the gas chamber.

I still can’t believe how many people died at that spot. It still freaks me out.

Birkenau wasn’t that bad, coz it was a more open area. But there was the place where the killings really took place. Women and children were immediately sent to the gas chambers after getting down from the trains. I can’t ever imagine that fear, knowing that you were going to die in just a little while. Seriously, we’re damn lucky to be living in this age. I don’t think I’d have survived that era. Of uncertainty and constant biting fear.

That day was tough, crazy intense stuff forced onto both of us.

on the other hand, Mud’s back up. Getting the hang of it again. Feels good to be back in DET and hanging out and talking nonsense. ha.

Loughborough Sat! Jaslin, if you’re reading this, I will be in Loughborough at about 10:39. (: See you then. and Please sms me your new no!

New Fave Songs.

January 26, 2009

Coz youtube has oddly disabled all embedding for this song, I shall post the link up (:

Boyzone – Better

And also, this song (:

You really never know how much some things mean to you, until you don’t have them next to you.

It’s the first Chinese New Year away, and although I say that I don’t really miss home, it’s today that really struck me that I do, a lot.

Been quite a recluse today, hiding at home. Tired also, but that wasn’t the whole thing. I wanted to hibernate the night away, doing my work.

I’d feel better in a couple of days. I know I will. But need some time to angst it all out.

Jurisprudence strewn over the table. Writing out practice essays. Watching anime at the same time to keep my mind off the monotonous black words. It’s just like writing for the sake of writing. Like writing will make me feel more comfortable that I won’t flake out during the exam when I know I’ve got most of the facts down pat in my head.

It’s so funny, how we try to comfort ourselves. It’s always like, Oh wells, don’t worry about this seminar. I’m sure if I don’t finish this chapter, I will at the end. And the next thing you know, you’re 6 chapters behind and knee- deep in shit that you can’t dig out of.

I angst.

Anyways, just got new tights for poland. That’s going to keep me warm and cuddly whilst I trudge through god knows what. Hopefully it won’t sleet there. snow or frost over. As pretty as it is, it really isn’t very practical, especially if you’re trying to walk without breaking your ankle cleanly into half or get to a class that you should have been in 10 minutes ago. And a pair of new ear mufflers, to prevent my ears from dropping off in the cold too.

I should not blog till I get happier.

I feel like I’m radiating negative energies through the cyberworld to whomever reads this. UGHS.

SHIET!!!

January 24, 2009

Damn it,

I’m trying to watch a show (Zodiac, btw), and my firefox browser KEEPS CLOSING ON ME. It’s so irritating. And considering the fact that Tudou loads at an abysmally slow rate, I’m already at the end of my limit in waiting for the movie to loads.

ARGH DAMMIT.

I just realized;

January 21, 2009

That my room is full of dried fruits.

I’ve got a pack of Garibaldi (biscuits with pressed raisins in the middle), a pack of fig rolls, a packet of dried cranberries, a packet of prunes, and a pack of granola with dried tropical fruits.

HMM. where did I get all these. HMMS. haha.

OKAY EU TMR.

GANBATTE ME. -waves a pompom whilst cramming cases in furiously-

And fredflare.com is the love (:

BLAH.

January 15, 2009

Hair dropping like mad, and curling in all fucking directions. SHIT MAN.
Tmr I will go buy a hair straightener, and a water filter. it’s the shitty water here. I tell you. Must be it. ARGH.

I think right;

January 14, 2009

Guys ah, quite poor thing leh.

(This is in a Equity and Trust context)

So, here’s a piece of advice, Never say…

“What’s mine is always yours, darling.”

Us females can sue half your pants off. Literally. Or well, half the monetary value of all your belongings(including your pants). Okay, that’s a bit too farfetched, but that’s the gist. HAHA.

today;

January 13, 2009

I called home and talked to my grandmother, and she said to me

“Wah, you not coming back for Chinese New Year. Cannot eat my mian xian”

She’s so “nice”, but nevertheless, I love her to bits.

Hopelessly missing home. Mei send the pouch soon!! I think mum wants to send new year goodies. Send inside together or something. heh. pack in nice munchies for me!

Owl City – On the Wing

January 12, 2009

” Breathe and I’ll carry you away into the velvet sky
And we’ll stir the stars around and watch them fall away
Into the Hudson Bay and plummet out of sight and sound
The open summer breeze will sweep you through the hills
Where I live in the Alpine heights
Below the northern lights I spend my coldest nights alone awake
And thinking of the weekend we were in love “

yayness.

January 12, 2009

After finishing my notes for Pornography, and Torture, I am done with my note- making! And after this, I can concentrate on stuffing all the knowledge in my mind. STUFF STUFFFFF.

Yesterday’s wind was nuts, absolutely CRAZY.

And I woke up at 10 am, bumbled online for a bit, wore my jacket, and went back to bed. It was so cold, and so gloomy. :( I is sad. No sun.

What a bright sunny day

January 9, 2009

… too bad I wasn’t out and about…

Why, You Ask.

I was at home, having a lovely rendezvous with Mr EU, and his lovely sidekicks, Craig and de Burca!

(Everyone, please welcome them onto this lovely stage)

(Applause, please)

I have conquered Chapters 14 and 15 on the Review of Legality, and in a spat of word processing blunders, I accidentally saved my notes for Chapter 15 over my note beginnings for Chapter 14. And with a click of the “Save” button, I have banished 2 pages of notes into the depths of my computerizes abyss, never to be found again.

Oh, don’t I dramatize everything so much? (cue sweet endearing smile whilst stroking EU text lovingly)

*
*
*
*
*
OH, how I hate EU so. I want to like you, but you’re so dry, and you lack a sense of humour. At least Jurisprudence has the lovely curves of yoghurt dipped muesli bars. You’re just like the dry, bland, and absolutely tasteless wheat biscuits. UGH.
YOU WEETABIX.

pfft

January 7, 2009

in my Euthansia reading:

“…the cosmic greatness of the sanctity of human life….”

bugger.

I felt like a shaman after reading that.

Anyways, my brain is fried. Like char kway teow.

HEE HEE

January 5, 2009

OMG I was looking at Bengawan Solo’s Cookie Catalogue, and I was like SHIT I WANT MINI SHRIMP ROLLS. I LOVE THOSE. ah. This would be just about the time we start buying CNY goodies, and by the time CNY rolls around, it will ALL BE GONE. haha.
Oh wells.

and just had a 4 hour marathon of pure note making and studying. I want to dieeee.

So, yes. This will be a long one, considering the fact that I have loads to say!

Bruxelles -

20th Dec, headed to Bruxelles for two nights. It was a nice town, didn’t even take a single public transport (saved loads, I must say) Took the bus from Meadowhall to Victoria Coach Station in London, headed for the Tube to St Pancras, and took the Eurostar train to Bruxelles Gare Midi Station, and reached in the middle of the night to the land of waffles and Tintin, and Smurfs!

cimg4418

Random comic Graffitti in the City Centre

cimg4429

Beautiful Belgian Lace (which I totally forgot to go and buy. Was telling myself that I want to get a bookmark or something as a souvenir, and totally forgot. gee)

cimg4443

Warm Belgian Waffles, drenched with chocolate, caramel or apple sauce of your liking, and sprinkled with a generous snow shower of icing sugar, mm!

cimg4482

And Godiva, which I didn’t dare step into lest I go nuts and spend my entire spending budget on chocolates in the shops. They were everywhere though, but on the other hand, Belgium is the land of chocolates. I did have some good ones tho :)

cimg4495

At Rue de Brocheres, the street of Seafood Restaurants. Belgium has a lot of seafood on its menu, with the sea just a couple hours away

cimg4556

The famous Moules Frittes with a white wine sauce. We chose this for something light and savoury. Came stewed in chopped parsley and celery, with succulent mussels, and that deep winey sauce.

cimg4513

cimg4544

Say Hello to Monsieur Tintin and his dog, Snowy! And the two muddlesome, clumsy detectives (:

cimg4569

On the way to Antwerp from Bruxelles, and this was the train before our train pulled into the Station. The trains are quite “decorated”, I must say!

cimg4580

Got off at Antwerpen Centrale Station, and took a really long walk down a seeminly never ending street to our hotel, Hotel Rubens Hof, a 150 year old remodelled hotel which is a memoir to the existence of Rubens, an artiste which made it big in Belgium.

cimg4596

And more of those delectable pralines, and chocolatey babies! (:

cimg4604

On the tram towards the historical centre of Antwerp, we were kind of too lazy to walk there. It would have been at least a 40 minute walk, and been a really long one. 0_0 Antwerp has a lot of little trams buzzing everywhere, especially in the city centre. And they’re quite cute haha. like little buggies.

cimg4616

At Grote Place, Antwerp.

cimg4622

Random Broadwalk, somewhere in Antwerp. Just next to the River Schole.

Kind of lost my mood to take pictures when I was in Antwerp, coz I fell horribly sick as you would have already gathered from the past few posts. But things are getting better, only a niggling cough left. haha.

So yea, took the train back to Bruxelles after two nights in Antwerp, and got off at the same stop as our Eurostar departures, and headed for our train after a quick bite at the Station. Sue kind of misplaced her railcard and our tickets back to Sheffield from London in Belgium, and we had no idea where they were. So we were hoping that the rail people would be able to print out our tickets again. But turns out that THEY WOULD NOT. So it was kind of a mad rush after getting back to London. From St Pancras, we went to Kings Cross to try to get a reprint, and they won’t let us. So after, it was a mad rush down to Victoria Coach Station to try to catch a coach back to Sheffers, but turns out all seats were booked. And we had to rush back down to Kings Cross to catch the train back, which incidentally was the last one back to anywhere near Sheffield. We got on the tube at Victoria at 8 10, train was to leave at 8 27. Got to the counter, and said 3 tickets to sheffield, and the guy only said one thing, ‘No time. Buy your tickets on board, RUN! Platform 6″. And yes, we made a mad dash to Platform 6, and literally piled onto the train. It was MENTAL. MEEENTAL. AND CRAZY. Took the train which ended in Doncaster, and after RAN for our connecting train to Sheffield. And there was a weird guy on the train next to us. Freaky shit.I was so SO SO glad to be back in Sheffield, I tell you. Never felt better to be home.

And so, Christmas eve ended, and Christmas came along, with me reluctantly peeling myself off my bed. Shoved the turkey all marinated and stuffed into the oven, and bumbled the night away. It was a good dinner, that I must admit.

cimg4640

Mah Turkey (: With sage and onion stuffing

And so, Christmas came, and left. And New Years just round the corner. Had dinner at this Chinese Buffet place, with Ash, Ivor, Adrian, Sue and Flor. Walked there in the bleeding cold night, and swathed in a thick mist. Had dinner, and went back home, with house politics coming at us left right centre. But well. I DON’T BLOODY CARE, HEH.

So yes, people came. I have no idea how much liquor was consumed that night, I THINK it was something like 12 bottles of hard liquor, like everyone randomly brought about 3 bottles each. Can’t even remember what were there last night, I think, bottles upon bottles of Russian vodka, Smirnoffs, Baileys (MMMM), and I have no idea what else. And beer. Loads of beer. People got drunk, people transformed into emo lumps after drinking. People fell down stairs, knocked heads, went out cold, and people lost their shoes somewhere in the mess. I had one fall asleep on my bed, whilst telling me something real emo, and hugging my bear for emotional comfort. What a night! Crazy. Me and sue have sworn off alcohol. I kind of got screwed up by this thing, this horrible concoction called Aftershock. Which is bad. I never want to taste anything alcoholic after the last Aftershock incident. EURGH. I refused to drink, coz I think I needed to remain sober. So yea. Sue did the drinking for me. =/ But at least everyone left, without puddles of puke to settle (THANK FREAKING GOD). I kept plying everyone with chocolates to make them have some food in their system to offset the alcohol a bit. If not, haha. good game.

So yea, that wraps up my 2008, and now, it’s already 2009. Time seriously flies. (and I will get back to studying soon). Here’s to a good year once again, and to all of you guys, Happy New Year!

fucking hell.

December 26, 2008

I swear, this cough WILL TAKE MY LIFE. MY LUNGS WILL HOP OUT OF MY CHEST, JUMP OUT OF THE WINDOW AND PLUNGE TO THEIR DEATH IN A THORNY BUSH.

ああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああ。

Gingerbreadmen, and Turkeys

December 26, 2008

Hiyah, got back home to Sheffield on Christmas Eve after a crazy night in London. Not really helping that I fell sick in Belgium :( POO.

Christmas dinner was good tho, turkey turned out perfectly well, and the food was great!

I’d update more about Belgium when I get the mood. After I get well or smthg.. haha

The wind blows;

December 20, 2008

Wind’s going nuts outside. Craaazeeey.

Anyways, am going to Belgium today. :) Will be back Kissmas Eve.

Just in case I don’t wish you in time, MERRY CHRISTMAS! Have a lovely Christmas guys!

FINALLY.

December 17, 2008

The wave of liberation and relief after handing in the essay today was like WOAH. Feels good to be one entire day earlier than the deadline! HAHA.

Took a walk down to town with Sue, borrowed books for Belgium and Poland, and came back. Hot pot and teppanyaki tmr, can’t wait. Gonna sit and chill and chat the night away (:

Hope everything’s going a-okay for you guys too (:

So anyways, with last night’s declaration that I was going to sleep in, I really intended to. I didn’t even turn my alarm on, coz I wanted to just sleep and sleep and sleep. And probably wake up on my own accord at 11 ish, 12, and have brunch.

BUT. at 9 am. to be exact, 8 53 am. The caretaker decides to do some weird shit with a leaf blower. AND MY GOD, HE WAS STANDING BELOW ME WINDOWWW! I literally jolted out of bed, screaming “WHAAAAATTTTT”, and got the sun shining directly in my eyes (I don’t close my curtains, coz the sun is my perfect back up plan when I don’t wake up with the alarm, but thing is it doesn’t work all the time. English Weather, you know.) And I sat there, smouldering away in agony whilst wanting to go back to bed, but I couldn’t coz the leaf blower was so damned loud. So basically I had a grand total of 5 1/2 hours of sleep.

And yes, shoken up. And I went to study Jurisprudence. Like suddenly the Groove came. And I actually did a substantial amount of notes. Hah. Okay. Ahem.

OH YA. Back to the kitchen. Enough ranting for a day. (:

WHEEHEE.

December 17, 2008

I’m done with my essay! All endnotes in, Bibliography all in, and everything I want to write all in too. AND it’s all within my page limit! YAY.

There are WEIRD shows on the tele late at night. REALLY WEIRD.

OKAY SLEEP. I shall sleep in. Don’t care. I deserve that sleep :D

YAY!

December 14, 2008

I AM FINALLY DONE WITH ALL MY FULL DRAFTS FOR ALL 3 QUESTIONS.

It pains me to know that I won’t get marked for all of them. After all, I put in my everything into doing them damned essays. UGH.

It’s 3.47 am now, first time I’ve been up so late doing work. Usually I’m a morning person, and by 1 (usually) I’m in bed, and sleeping. But well. ARGH, I just have to finish the stupid essay which I’ve dragged on for 3 days already.

What shall I study tmr?

Oh yes, I know. Competence and Remedies and the stuff in all the Treaty and make notes on them. MM, okay, sounds good. I shall do just that.

Okay, am going to crash. Am so happy that all the work’s done. It’s like this HUGE load off my chest, seriously. G’night!

New wordpress layout! Quite nice, quite nice!

Been bogged down with the EU essay (Read: Bastard EU assignment). Now on my 3rd essay (WOOHOOOO) and after this, I’ve got almost a week to sit and chill and slowly edit them!

Random: The clouds today are pretty.

And I realize I haven’t got the mood to do any blogging. I come online, have Mousehunt and Fish Wrangler on, and I just stone. And I’m losing interest in Pet Soc. There is that limit when I get sick of visting friends. And I think I’m there right now.

Hmm. Okay. I shall get back to the essay.

p.s: If  I haven’t talked to you in a while, here’s a big big “HI” from me. (:

I have a bastard assignment for EU. We’re given three essay questions, of which, we have to do one and hand in on the 18th of December. BUT, the catch is that they department would only tell us which essay to do and hand in on the 16th of December, which effectively means that we have to do all three essays and make sure that they’re at a standard that’s almost ready for submission and just the time after the 16th is for collating bits and pieces and making sure that you don’t sound like an idiot when you hand in the essay. POO.

Just did the first essay, 5 1/2 pages. So technically, I should try to fill up another 1 1/2 pages of stuff somehow or rather. just shove some shit in somewhere. blah

And also, please don’t rain when I’m going out for classes ya? Thanks. Foreverly indebted.

Gee.

November 29, 2008

My room smells like weed now. and it’s all because of the stupid freshers downstairs smoking their asses off. fuckers.

Woah, it’s already the 9th week of this semester, and coming 10th. I can’t believe that it’s already this far into the semester. Freaky.

It’s been the same all the time. Rushing for new tutorials, doing essays, doing readings upon readings and upon readings. I’ve got 90 pages of dense EU text to clear for my next and law seminar. Wish me luck! Don’t know how I’m gonna get through that, but YES, I will prevail somehow :)

You know, I think this semester has been a crazy one. I’ve oscillated between being extremely annoyed, to being tired, and hyper during lectures, and disgusted at the mountains of work I’ve got to do. What a repertoire of emotions I must say! Gee.

And my neighbours are all freaking noisy party animals. Seriously, how on earth do they pass their exams. They never study. Poo.

Gonna escape from an empty house tomorrow, and would be hiding out in Jiar Li’s place. Don’t quite wanna be in the flat without Sue and Ivor. So yes, my second home’s Jiar Li’s and Smin’s place. And gonna study study study tmr, like intensely study till I feel like puking sort. And hopefully I’d dent the amount of work I have to do for EU :D

Fucked up la, so many pages :(

I feel like chilling out at the prata shop with Sky and Anru, and have a cold drink and a yummy egg prata. Like nao. And sitting at Happy Daze with my sister and talking to Monica and Anne. And going to Bengawan Solo with my aunt and having a yummy piece of kueh kueh. I wanna talk crap with my dad whilst watching Tom and Jerry/Tennis/Random BBC Hourly Updates. I miss home :(

I’m so touched!

November 22, 2008

Smin called me down, and I thought it was coz something happened or smthg. and so I rushed down to the gate

And when i went out, she greeted me with a huge grin and presented me with two lovely lovely flowers.

I love you dear! Thanks for the flowers! (:

November 22, 2008

i know you want to have a party on  friday night. BUT NOT TILL FUCKING 6 AM. idiots. I hope your stupid trance music and YOU ALL die a horrible death.

Been assaulted by freak gales these few days, with dried leaves whipping in the air around whilst being buffeted up by the psychotic winds that plagues hilly Sheffield.

School’s fine, I’m alive. But, uh, I can’t believe two months has passed.

Random tense moments, irritating individuals, and excessive early noise. Poo poo.

And the sudden impulse to go out.

Which I am, tmr. After class. Hitting town with the girls tmr, can’t wait. I want to buy underwear. Nice pretty and cute underwear with (hopefully) ladybirds on it that I can wear and squeal.
I love ladybirds. I’ve got ladybird stickers, ladybird clips, a ladybird coaster, and ladybird socks. I want a ladybird soft toy, and a ladybird purse. love love them. a lot. haha. gee. i should smack myself when I rant about ladybirds. okay.
I should sleep, early morning lectures later on. Goodnight world!

KNS, 6 pounds return air tickets from Liverpool to Florence, and the only time I can go is in Week 11, and for 3 days two nights. Which means I can only spend 1 full day and 1/2 day in Florence.

But practicality is rearing its ugly head and telling me that I have an EU essay due on the 18th of Dec, and I SHOULDN’T GOOOOO. shitttteeee

I wanna goooo.

DAAAMN.

November 13, 2008

Yesterday marked the 2nd year my paternal grandmother passed away. Was thinking about her, and the past, and realized that those were good memories. Although laced with a few bitter events, and the last sad goodbye, it was still good. I miss my grandmother a lot.

When I came to the UK, I was really afraid that something would happen to the ones I love and cherish the most,  and especially with my dad and my maternal grandmother, who are constantly on my minds. I’m always afraid that I won’t have the chance to say goodbye.

As cliche as it can get, always show your appreciation for someone before it’s too late. We can all do with more love, can’t we? (:

On a random note: I finally got my damned forcefield in Mousehunt. I couldn’t wait till the last 20k gold came in, so I borrowed it off Jimmy =/ heh. Thanks though. And another 30k to buy cheese and so I could go to the mountains and get all that moolah back. It has been an excruciating wait, yes, it has!

Reading week’s halfway through, and I’m only at Task 3 of my list (There are 6 tasks in all), and I’ve yet to come up with a utilitarian/liberalism/moralism approach to Abortion for Jurisprudence. shiet. That’s so on the agenda for tmr. Wanted to go to Chester for a spot of shopping, but when we checked the train tickets for Chester, it was a mind- boggling 26.95 with a railcard. WTF. No way I’m paying that to go shopping. I might as well go Meadowhall. Oh ya, maybe I should, soon!

Need some retail therapy. and I need a new school bag. I can’t always rely on Sponge Bob, and my bum eq bag is too small to put any A4 sized material in it, argh. Need a bag, so that I can use it for Belgium too. Oh yea, am expecting the cutest little Mickey Mouse MP3 Player, that me and sue got on a whim (: too cute lah. Go ebay it, it’s so attractively cute. haha.

Shall go tumble into bed now, and hug my teddy and go to sleep. Goodnight world!

I was looking forward to listen to the morning express just, and I realize. shit, it’s already saturday in singapore, and there’s no morning express.
Well. ah.

Anyways, two nights of instensive movies (: I like. heh. Scream 2 and 3 with Ivor and TIm, and uh. The eye 2 with jiar li and ivor haha. was good (: but the eye 2’s ending was weirdddd. really weird. we didn’t know what was going on at all. ahaha. in the end we all started laughing coz it was so funny that we all didn’t get it at all, and we went HARH at the same time haha. gee.

PLAH

November 5, 2008

Minor sounds of explosions happening all around, with fireworks going away here and there, and everywhere. Bonfire Night tonight, and everyone’s going nuts. OMG why are there people making weird noises downstairs…… 0_0

Anyways, the madness of this week is over. Managed to finished my non- assessed work, though I think I might not have done that good a job on it coz by the time I was done with it I was so sick of it and I didn’t want to do anymore property, and so I didn’t take another look at it after getting it printed out. And yea. readings all done.
EU sem went rather well, I must say. A surprise there, actually. Hah. And Juris B seminar. omg. this has got to be the first time I haven’t prepared a single thing for a seminar. I didn’t do any readings, I didn’t prep the questions. Oh wells, but I was so tired, and feeling so shitty, and reading juris was gonna just kill my insides. so ya.
Ah wells. HMM

Yes. (: I realize I rant a lot about school.

Anyways, yes. I think I shall sleep soon. early lectures tmr.

And Class 95 keeps me sane, through the long hours of studying. And I feel a secret twinge of pride whenever I hear the national anthem. haha. gee.

And kudos to Obama for winning too :D

And UH, what else do I wanna add. OH. I wish the people shouting downstairs would have rotten mouths and infected vocal cords. (: How sweet I am, aye?

Okay, bye (:

-dies-

No matter how much I study, I can’t ever seem to catch up.

I’ve got 2 more seminars to prep for, one essay to do, and I’m not even done with EU yet.

I can’t wait for this week to be over.
