You and I collide;
March 30, 2008
Hello miaosies, have you eaten? (: It’s been 4 days since you left, how’s it going? I know you’re probably catching up on sleep now, as usual. And curling up on a bench or in a pool of sunshine.
I don’t cry anymore when I see your picture, or think about you.
Be good, my baby!
Come look for me in my dreams, and we’d hang out together. I’d give you a little kiss on your cute nose, and tell you that I love you, and we can sit on the couch and watch the tele and eat random yummy food together. (:
Hello baby;
March 28, 2008
Hello my baby, I hope you’re fine.
I wished I could give you one last hug, one last kiss, and tell you one last time that I love you. I wanted to hold your paw, and tell you every thing’s going to be fine, and we’re going to be fine.
You gave me so many memories, watching you sleep in the garden, sitting with me on the couch as I watch the tele, linger around the kitchen when I’m eating, and even waking me up in the morning. You’re such a darling, you know?
I want to hug you and smell your scent again, and I want to share my vanilla ice cream with you. I want to just see you once more. It kills me inside, knowing that you won’t be there, lounging in the garden in the warm sunlight, or on your pile of cushions, or on my bed, and taking up half my bed whenever you sleep with me.
I hope you’re smiling, and well. Be happy, my baby. I love you so much.
Remember ah, don’t terrorize any more little critters anymore! No more snakes, and bats, and shrews, and what nots. Okay? Come back and say hi to me once in a while. Be nice to Baby up there, okay? Don’t create too much trouble for her too.
I hope your urn’s going to be pretty, just like Baby’s. With roses and vines, and a lovely picture on it. I’ve been choosing from all the pictures we took of you, I’m sure you’d like it.
I won’t ever forget you, my darling. Rest well, yea? -muacks- you’ve been brave, and an awfully courageous one, for going through that. Don’t worry, you’d never feel pain again. And, once again, I love you. I can never say that too many times. I love you, always and always.
27th March 2008
March 27, 2008
I want you back so badly, but I know you’re already gone.
Be happy always, and always.
And I’d always love you. Thanks for saying goodbye.
Back from Spain! Part Uno: Barcelona
March 26, 2008
It was bleeding cold when I reached East Midlands today, with the thick mist, and the light drizzle. Quite a difference from Spain! Lovely lovely Spain (:
I do so want to move there! Okay, I shall get on with the post. Shall try to finish this post before going out for dinner at Wong Ting. -smiles-
Reached Barcelona pretty late at night, and took a bus into Barcelona from Girona, where we took the Metro from Arc de Triomph to our hostel at Maria Christina! Had dinner at a quaint Mexican Restaurant

Sangria – Sweetened Red Wine, and pressed fruits.
The fun truly began tomorrow, where me, and Smin took the Metro to Passeig de Gracia!

Started off with Antoni Gaudi’s creation, Casa Battlo, where he was commissioned by a textile merchant to remodel his house. The entire house was made with minimal straight lines, and with the theme of the Natural world and the organic nature of plants and animals. There was this room where Gaudi was trying to personify the shell of a tortoise, and in another room, he tried to recreate the feel of the curves of a woman’s body.

The Blue Skylight, where the sunlight seemed almost sparkling, reflected off the blue tiles! The rooms around the skylight were pleasantly lighted with a warm glow.

And this is the outside of Casa Battlo, which is also know as the House of Bones.
Passeig de Gracia’s a really nice street, with the standard boutique shops, and also the favourites, Mango and Zara, and random Tapas bars. We had our lunch at this Tapas bar, where we filled our tummy with yummy Tapas, and desserts! Tapas literally means small dish, and it can be anything which is small in portion.

Almond Cake with Lemon Vanilla Cream

Vanilla Custard with a crunchy caramelized top
And after, we took a real long walk down to La Ramblas, which is a 5.1 km long shopping street, where it’s divided into 5 different streets offering different items! The first part of the street was selling pets, like rabbits, ferrets, little tortoises, birds, little puppies, chicks, and ducklings, and even roosters.

Strolled down the streets, and went down to the Gothic Quarter, or Barri Gothi! The first stop was at The Cathedral of Barcelona, with its impressive stone masonry, and tall, towering pillars.

It was Easter week the time we were in Barcelona, so the pastry shops were all filled with odd looking pastries baked with entire eggs in them! And they had weird psychedelic feathers stuck in them too! How odd, haha.

Drinks that night, at this really quirky bar called Kahaku Bar. HAHAHA

Called it a night after drinks and getting high (evidence: girls laughing down the street at 12 pm hysterically)
The next day saw the two of us going to La Sagrada Famillia, which was designed by Antoni Gaudi too! Barcelona’s dotted with his works everywhere, so his name would pop up once in a while ![]()

Took a lift all the way to the top, and walked back down via this crazy spiral staircase! We were pretttyyy dizzy by the time we got down on flat ground. lol (:

Lunch was at this outdoor cafe, and we had calamari rings, or Calamars, and Paella Mixta

After that, we went to Parc Guell, which (no surprise!) was modeled entirely by Antoni Gaudi (again). This was supposed to be his wonderland, where he created a fantasy world of mosaics, and colourful tiles!

That’s the Gaurdian Salamander of the Parc!

I absolutely LOVE THIS VESPA!!!!!

I had this thing for doors btw, haha. and this door really caught my attention (:
And after Parc Guell, I headed back to La Ramblas! Remember I said something about different streets selling different stuff? This one was selling flowers!

One can’t get enough of roses, aye? (: My favourite flower ever!

Bunch of dried flowers that Smin bought for me! I chose one for her too
Decided to check out this little market in Plaza de la Pi, where stallholders from villages in the outskirts of Barcelona would set up stall to sell their wares every first and third Friday of the month

They had all sorts of cheeses, and I bought myself a herb infused one! (:

And this kick- ass herb cabinet!

And homemade jams (: Too bad I don’t eat jam.. lol, but they look awfully yummy!

This shop sold masks of every kind, and all look very masquerade-y, with the intricute eye masks to the full face masks with feathers fanning out really theatrically! I bought a little hand puppet here for my sister, those masks would have easily set me back 200 euros! 0_0 but it’s all worth the price
Went after to see a flamenco show, but I couldn’t take pics sadly coz my camera totally died on me. HAH HAH HAH.
The next morning, we rose early and headed to Museu de Picasso, home to his works.
This was the only picture I could sneak haha. The guard was real pissed off at me after that. =/
And after we went to the market to ogle at the fruits and food (:

Off to Montjuic after! Climbed the &(@&)&#*&%)&#_($* steep hill to Fundacio de Miro, and on the way saw a really wonderful view of the city of Barcelona and things like funky doors (on Facebook
) and lemon trees!

Works by Miro (: managed to sneak quite a few coz the guards weren’t that strict hahaha!
Headed back to the hostel by 7 coz we needed to catch an overnight train from Barcelona to Madrid! 9 hours straight, argh! My butt was totally dead by the end of the tour. lol.
Anyways, I need to go out for dinner! I’d continue with Madrid tmr (less pics tho, haha).
HOLA!
March 22, 2008
Greetings from Spain! (:
-trying to find out where all the keys are. the spanish keyboard is so odd!-
I have been good! But my feet are not! They´re quite dead, I must say.
My sis says the miaosies is getting better!!!
And leaving for the pick up point in ten min. (: Will take loads of peektures! that’s for sure. See you all in a week’s time!
Hello God
March 18, 2008
Please let my baby get well soon. I’ve never wanted something so badly, but please, let her get well soon.
And..
I’m off to Spain for a week, from tomorrow till next week. It’d be a long awaited tour.
Please;
March 18, 2008
I want my baby to get well. ):
In the midst of the fog.
March 17, 2008
The fog descended upon Sheffield last night, with incessant drizzles. It felt like walking in a thick cloud, when I went out to Tesco’s the night before.
Today’s been a good day. Slept late, and woke up late. And procrastinated about doing work. Decided to watch a bit of anime, and after, decided to play mahjong, and after that, decided to slack a little more. It was great that Jiar Li called to ask if she could study here. The perfect catalyst to start studying (:
Finished my notes for Chapter 9, the horribly long chapter in Elliot on Abuse of Discretion. And I finished reading one chapter out of three of the essential reading list from Seminar 3. Yippee.
Going to Bartolome House tmr, to collect my Understanding Law essay. It’s great they’re returning it to us. (: At least we know where we’re doing wrong, or what we’re doing right.
Thinking how much euros to change for the Spain trip. hmms. I think I’d just change 150 pounds worth of euros first, hope that’s enough! I think I should still have about.. 1000 pounds left. I think. Can’t remember.
I think I’m going to go sleep after the new episode of Kaiji. Goodnight world!
Our Sushi Party (:
March 16, 2008
Woke up at 3 pm (slept late. teehee), and bumbled around the room doing nothing in particular till it was 5 plus to start preparing the stuff for our sushi party!

The ingredients for the night! (: There were crab sticks, smoked salmon, carrots, cucumber, ham, and sweet egg omelettes. (:

And here’s one of my rolls! (It’s a wonder how toggling the “brightness” and “contrast” can change the look and feel of a picture so greatly!)

And here’s a pic, after we kept making and forgetting to eat. lols. Many many makis!

Mr. (Mrs?) Strawberries. Had to take a peekture of them! I can’t resist taking pics of strawberries!
Myanmar 2005
March 14, 2008
Was looking through my old photographs, and decided to upload some pictures from the long-ago Myanmar Trip. (: Jas, doesn’t this bring back loads of happy memories? (:
Where we ate (:
All busy at work. (this was the day when mine and Karen’s class got siphoned away for some buddhist singing lesson)
Handprints! Messy, but SO FUN (:
Where we slept
Remember him, Jas? I forgot his name lol
The good old days (:
March 13, 2008
damn.
March 13, 2008
I think I eat a small fortune in fruits. I just bought a box of strawberries from Tesco’s after my seminar which costs me 2 pounds, and it’s all GONE IN 5 MIN.
FIIIIVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. AARRGGGHHHH.
Bugglebum Eggs.
March 13, 2008
I got my results today! Hurray! 62 for Contract, 68 for UL1, 62 for Public, and 78 for tort. yay! I’m glad (:
Woke up today by the shrill ringing of a skype call, and turns that that it’s Nadia Cheng, who decided to grace me with a lovely wake up call. And in my state of sleepiness, I tried checking for my results at 7 30 (it was supposed to be up on MUSE at 9), and thought I failed everything coz I couldn’t find a single thing. Went back to bed, got up at 8 plus, and waited at the computer (whilst watching anime) for the results. Was looking in the wrong place, and it was a long half an hour before I found it, with some help. haha.
Spent 11 plus to 1 at the Moor, shopping for groceries. Bought a set of DVDs for Nadia Cheng, and other misc stuff, like lime- infused chips, and foolscap paper, and gift bags (for 10p each! a steal) And stuff for our sushi party on Saturday. (:
Easter Holidays next week, for 3 weeks! YIPPEE!! But I’ve got LOADS of work to do, so I’m sure it’d pass by real quickly. I can’t believe it’s already mid- sem. Time seems to zoom past so quickly! (: and july’d be here in a jiffy (:
Comfort Food.
March 12, 2008
(:
March 11, 2008
After two years of ho-humming, and umming, and hesitating, I FINALLY GOT DOWN TO DONATING BLOOD TODAY!
It feels good. -grins-
Goodness!
March 10, 2008
Kept trying to log into WordPress to update the blog, but it won’t let me in. (and my password’s was fine) ugh irritating.
Oh wells, at least I managed to log in.
Having a little lunch party tomorrow with Roasted Lamb Shoulder marinated with honey, cumin and cracked black pepper. I hope I remember to take pictures!
The day has been good, ‘cept the storm in the middle of the day which stopped an hour after it started.
Shall do more readings, and call it a night! Feeling a little knackered today.
記憶の海
March 10, 2008
Am currently hooked on the song which was played on the last episode of School Days OVA, when セカイ killed 元原 (if my memory serves me right?). Though Wikipedia begs to differ.
That anime’s really screwed up, and I thought the ending was absolutely a shock. Hugging a severed head, on a boat, and drifting into the sunset = WEIRD.
This shows anything can happen in animes. It’s either all ecchi, or too shounen, or shoujo. blah! Someone please come up with something new!!
Just watched the last episode of The Jikenbo of Kindaichi. Oh wells, with that, I finally finished all three series!
I did most of the things on my list. yay to me. And I think i’m going to sleeeeep. Goodnight!
Hello World, again.
March 9, 2008
I tell you, I’ve been absolutely skiving updating. Been busy with public law readings, and I’d have to say, except for two learning diaries, I’m actually pretty on track! and doing my readings diligently.
I had a weird dream last night. I dreamt that it was time for Chinese New Year again, and I was sent on a mission to buy sukiyaki, giant mushrooms, and roasted bell peppers. I even remember the price! 2 Roasted Bell Peppers for $1.50. Hahah. I wonder that it means.
The room needs a good vacuuming. Flat inspections this coming week, and I hate reinspections. So I have to get past this one like.. the first time.
Okay, this is what I have to do for this day.
1) Clean Room, Clean toilet.
2) Do my left over readings for UL2
3) Find the last journal article for Public and read it.
4) Finish note- doing for Elliot.
5) Research on plea- bargaining.
Though I’m sure I won’t actually get to the last one, but it’s good to kind of plan out what I need to go. -smiles-
Anyways, lately I’ve been infatuated with the sky. (see facebook and album titled “The Sky”). I think I’d post some pictures up!

I think clouds are so pretty (:
Anyways, I think the movie Lust, Caution has got to have a special mention. Thought the entire show was really really brilliant! (:
Paper clips, and ladybirds.
March 5, 2008
Did I tell you I have this odd fixation on paper clips, and ladybirds? (:
Went to Tesco with Jiar Li today after our Colloquia, where I happily splurged on groceries once again. I bought a reusable bag to put my groceries in, and it had (no surprise there) ladybirds on it! Makes grocery shopping much easier coz it doesn’t seem too heavy , much less compared to using a plastic bag.
I have been absolutely skiving off work the past 3 days. It’s been filled with anime, mahjong, anime, more mahjong, and dramas. I need to get back to work! Which I will, tomorrow. I have resolved to do public tomorrow, and start on preparation for the next seminar.
So, Spain from the 19th afternoon, to the 26th. Should be fun. (: Awfully looking forward to it.
-bobs head to random japanese song-
Nikki took a look inside my ladybird grocery bag, and exclaimed in shock at the size of my Monster Mushrooms. They’re about 8-10 cm in diameter, pretty huge!
Mononoke Hime now, loading on Veoh. Finally got down to watching that movie. Heard Joe Hisaishi’s performance on CR, with a full symphonic suite. And it was kick- ass good. It’s taking an awfully long time coz my internet’s really slow. But no worries no worries. I’ve got the entire night to wait for it to load. (:
heard 60% failed tort. ERPS. that’s a scary figure. I think I should do okay, I feel like I did okay. So I think it should be fine. I can’t do anything about it now anyways. Positivity to the max! haha.
Okay, back to 物の怪姫 (: I do so love typing in japanese, and watching the characters appear. I’m thinking of properly learning japanese again.. maybe, just maybe.
バカ!
March 3, 2008
It snowed today, little flakes of eight pronged ice crystals.
Was counting the coins in my wallet, and I realize, with all the added weight, and the mass of metal in my coin compartment with all the cards and stuff comes up to quite a lot of weight! And was thinking, it could possibly kill someone if I threw it in someone’s face.
Note to self: Start spending the damned coins!!
Confirmed going to Spain during the Easter Holidays, gonna be there for 5 days in the mid/end of March. Looking forward to all the sightseeing, and the photo opportunities! (:
Alright, better start prepping for tomorrow’s Colloqium. Ta!
HMM!
March 2, 2008
I suddenly feel like having crab. (:
