Bowling balls, and pins.
June 28, 2008
What peeves me off in a bowling alley is:
- Bowlers that start jumping like monkeys immediately after they release the bowling ball.
- Bowlers who just pick up their ball and wait immediately after they’re thrown their first ball.
- Bowlers who look like ballerinas
- Bowlers who don’t wait their turn at all.
- Bowlers (or random people chucking bowling balls down the lane) who step on the lane and mess up a clean approach with oil splotches.
- The same above-mentioned people who leave drinks and drip water around the seating area
Anyways, yes. I’ve met all that type of people at Tampines Safra the two times I’ve been there to bowl, and let’s just say that it irks me quite a bit.
That aside,
Today was a good bowling day for me! I bowled a 156 average, with 17 spares, and 14 strikes. And 2 split conversions. Hope the scores keep getting better! I like strikes where there’s a lot of noise, a lot of action and when the dust settles, there aren’t any pins left standing. Those are my absolute favourite strikes. (:
Oh and after we got home, and we were trying to frantically get the bowling bag out of the boot, and I was trying to pay the uncle without trying to incur a honking wrath from the cars slowly queuing up behind the taxi. My sister had left the bowling ball on the kerb side whilst she went to fumble about with the huge bowling bag in the boot. And after paying I looked at the spot where she placed the bowling ball, and it was gone. So I got off and looked, and there it was, rolling down the street like it was meant to do so. And I ran after the ball, which was making its little merry way down the street. Caught up with it, and grabbed it, and just stood at the side of the road laughing my ass off coz it was just so ludicrous, whilst the cars pass by next to me. HAHA, I can just imagine the thoughts that must have been flitting through the minds of the drivers and the passengers of the cars that pass by. T_T
Oh okays, haha. I think I’m done ranting. I was just looking around at my mother’s wall that is VERY VERY Purple, and typing and grinning randomly at the sister. Okay, she just turned around and gave me this look which just says “Yea yea, you WEIRDO”.
Okay ABRUPT END. BYE
Sushis and Sashimis.

Okay. What has been up.
1) I’ve been sick
2) I’m tired
3) and I’m falling asleep
4) and have no idea why I’m still up. WELL. anyways.
Today, I went to take a look at the Nepal Itinerary with Glen, and I must say it’s a very fun packed trip
And I met the PW-group-mates for dinner and desserts. Which was lovely.
And so not in the mood to talk right now. bleah. Okay. I’m going to sleep. byeeeee.
GAH! I need the last episode for Toshokan Sensou! It’s the last one! and EPISODE 11 freaking ended with a cliffhanger! ARGHHHHH. And Episode 12 isn’t uploaded ANYWHERE! Not even on youtube, and veoh. -sulks-
It’s ending already, it’s waaaaay WAAAAAY too short. Should be at least 24 episodes ):
-whines-
Okay, I think this anime has got to be one of the best I’ve ever watched, frustrating coz the two main characters OBVIOUSLY LIKE EACH OTHER, BUT REFUSE TO TAKE ANY STEPS FORWARD. ARGH.
SIGH, I need to go take a bath. BYE.
Who has the Cucumber is KING. MUAHAHA.
June 20, 2008
Anyways, yes. Who ever has the cucumber in the Turtle Farm is KING. lol. They will follow you about merrily, hoping for a bite of the cucumber
Both with their cucumbers! Gleefully posing, whilst the tortoises await a tasty cucumber snack.
CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP
These terrapins are super fierce, and gave Nadia quite a nasty bite. Which was fortunately not very deep.
The lazing Star Tortoise.
And after, it was lunch at Ding Tai Fung at Paragon with them! Steaming Xiao Long Baos! (:
And Nadia’s (very standard) Egg Fried Rice
Some cold sliced beef
The Sister and her Dan Dan Mian
And Nadia with a bit of my noodles (:
And yeap, that was my day today (SUPER HOT. ARRRGGHHHHH.)
And Jas, Blackie’d be fine, and I hope you won’t be sad for too long! Take care, and I’d see you when you get back to Singapore.
Dim Sum :)

June 16, 2008
today I heard someone say this in Sushi Tei
“Escuse me, beeeee-ill pleasssse”
Right the Bee is Sick, with a disease called Extremous Powderfullest Englishitis.

I’ve been home for so long, but it still feels so weird to me without a cat around the house.

Cruising on the high seas;
June 13, 2008
Just came back from a cruise aboard the Star Cruise Aquarius. (full of teekoh ah peks rushing for topless shows, and aunties spending their monies in the casino.)
had chicken wings at Food Republic at Vivo before boarding the cruise, which was dry, and pretty much tasteless, and horrible. and Very Expensive. =/ but the rest of the food was generally good, I must say.
And that’s the big ass ship! the one at the back was the one we were on. haha. Not the Long Jie.
And it’s “SUPER” lol.
SUNSET! I love sunsets! and this has got to be the most orangey sunset I’ve ever seen
Chocolate Buffet at 12 midnight, where the aunties all rushed for the buffets, and destroyed the beautiful display that the chef arranged painstakingly. I feel sad for him.
And this is sunrise, early in the morning at 6 35. I can’t believe I managed to wake up, seriously. Considering I slept for like 4 hours the day before. =/
The frothy waves behind the Ship (:
And to round up the entire day, we ate at Food Republic again, and I had this! Ngoh Hiang
High Tea at the Equinox!
June 11, 2008
Had High Tea at the Equinox coz the kids’ godma wanted someplace with a good view! Which wiped me of another 80 bucks. bah. Oh wells!
The view from where we were sitting. Had to sift through many pictures that Nadia took that were either out of focus, or taking nothing in particular, or had more of the sky than the buildings, or that of the construction site where the IR would be. 0_o
The salad prawns that I had, which had weird flower petals sprinkled on it. haha. Odd, but really, oddly tasty too.
Some random thing that I ate. The lamb was nice!
The Sister and the unable-to-take-a-proper-picture Nadia.
And here’s the same unable-to-take-a-proper-focused camera Nadia. With her plate of pasta. She ate like 4 plates of pasta. Erps!
and Sushi-gobbling Nicole! Actually, she only ate 3 sushis, but like Nadia, ate like gazillion plates of pasta. HAHA.
My sister’s gonna get her room painted with a blue paint called “Tiffanny”! So cute.
Haircuts; and SushiTei <3
June 10, 2008
Went with the sister out to get her hair cut, and after, went to Sushi Tei for an early dinner!
the sister having her (very standard) cold soba noodles! With her spankin’ new hair cut heh.
Kitsune Ramen (or Ramen with Sweet Tofu Skin in a pig bone soup)
Unagi Tamago Yaki (Eel in Egg Omelette)
Taiyaki! (which has vanilla ice cream and red bean paste inside, my fave dessert from Sushi Tei!)
I washed the dishes today! Yay, and the siste’s room is CLEAN! well, cleaner than before, right Mei? (:

Town, with the Sister :)
June 8, 2008
Finally;
June 7, 2008
Finally settled down to actually blog about coming home. (:
Surprisingly, I’m not jetlagged, which is amazing! I didn’t really sleep on the plane, so I pretty much crashed after dinner in Serangoon North. Haha.
The flight was horrible, by the way. Too much turbulence, and random guy in front of me reclining seat all the way back. And a weird breakfast. Okay, fine, it wasn’t all that bad. haha. The sausage was just a tad weird, that’s it.
wah seh, I feel like sleeping now. Okay maybe I’d go sleep soon.
Open the door;
June 3, 2008
Did I say, the album Change by the Sugababes released last year is really good!
The exams ended today! Last paper of the school year, the dratted Understanding Law II paper. Did two essays on the jury and Alternative Dispute Resolution techniques, and I had like 40 mins at the end of the paper to daydream, and to doodle my life away. Which I did for a grand total of half an hour.
(Hello Sue! you’re probably on the plane now, and I’d just be leaving for the airport when you reach Singapore. haha!)
My room’s in an absolute mess, and there’s like bags and luggages all about. Good thing is that my cupboard’s empty, and I’ve cleared the kitchen of my things. Oh wait, my rice cooker is still there! Okay, better remember to pack it in.
So, tomorrow, 6.25 flight from MAN to LON, and from the 9.25 flight LON to SIN (: And I’d be reaching at about 5 15 in the afternoon. Hopefully early! Long haul flights are the most horrible things ever. It’s like you’re stuck for 14 hours in the air doing nothing. And I hate playing games or watching anything coz the headphones suck, and so I sleep, and that makes me very very jet lagged when I reach singapore.
Wow, today’s got to be the prettiest evening I’ve seen in Sheffield in a long long time. The clouds are tinged with that gentle hues of pink and purple, and they’re all ripply and cotton- candy like for miles and miles as far as my little eye can see.
It feels good to just blab everything out here, I must say.
You are like a power of nature; Telepathic beautiful creature
I need to pack in my smashing soup pot, and my roasting tins, and my bread tin, and wrap my huge big chopper knife with something so that I don’t cut myself, and pack them in.
YAY! 快回家了!Absolutely can’t wait for tomorrow to roll by. -grin-
