Singapore Garden Festival!
July 31, 2008
An afternoon of looking at beautiful flowers has put me in a rather good mood! It’s gonna be mostly pics, so yeap. Too bad a lot of them turned out underexposed. -blames it on the dim lighting- but well, at least some of the orchid pics turned out okay! (:
Looks like a scene out of a medieval show!
(This, I’ve got say something about. This is kinda like my dream garden. I like it all old fashion with the cast iron table and chairs, and blooms of all sort around me!)
Canele loveliness and Arabian Haji Shopping.
July 30, 2008
Went with my sister and Jaslin to Canele today, and had a really scrumptious lunch!
Salade Canele: Crisp lettuce with crab chunks, in a tangy citron vinagrette, topped with crunchy sunflower seeds.
My Brioche Burger: Soft burger bun with sunflower seeds, with a grilled chicken breast on a bed of lettuce with mayonaise.
Sister’s Club Honey Baked Ham: quite self explanatory! haha.
Jaslin’s chocolate cake, name of which fails to appear in my mind.
Sister’s Matcha Cake
Mine: Kalamansi, which I thought was way too sour and bitter. Mango was nice though!!
And some random thing I took a picture of at Haji Lane, where me and Jaslin went after cystal shopping in Arab Street, which I thought was interesting!
And a picture of the lovely wall at Soon Lee, a really cute shop. (: Haji lane’s really very fun to shop at, I must say! heh. Right jas?
p.s: Jas, if you want the larger pics just tell me. (: These are quite compressed!

“流した涙はきっと光る結晶へと変わる”
- The tears that flow will surely become shining crystals.
Chemistry sings the most beautiful lines (:

“姿かたち
見えなくても
きっと君は 感じる
目を閉じれば
懐かしいぬくもり
そう 孤独を包む
僕は陽射しになる”
SO SAD ): This song is unbelievable ):
Heh.

things I’ve got to blog about:
1) Herb Garden
I’ve started on establishing my own herb garden, and so far, I’ve got Rosemary, Thai Basil, and Mint! Now on to get a pot of Dill (highly essential in fish dishes), and perhaps thyme, if I can get my hands on them (:
2) Hanabi with Sky and fridge hunting afterwards;
Well, satisfied a niggling sashimi craving. (actually, it’s just for Hanabi) And got to munch on lovely japanese thingies, and ended our very satisfying meal with Edamame Ice Cream (for him, urgh haha), and Yuzu ice cream for me (Now, that was yummy!). And went trawling in Plaza Sing afterwards, in Best Denki to check out the fridges there. Heh. New fridge! Or just new shelves, IF I can find out where to get some. If not, it’d be new fridge -smiles-
3) Feline randoms;
Spied upon this cat at the nursery when I was there with the Aunt and Cousin a few days back. And she was happily scratching herself on my sequined slippers, haha.
And this cute little adolescent kitty, with four white socked paws, in Opera Estate on the way back from Anne’s birthday party at Happy Daze! Adorable as hell. (:
4) Random outing to the park with the POK;
5) and something that has no random significance;
I just thought it was pretty
hahahaha.
6) And lastly, the first bud of my berry tree!
It got infested with disgusting whitefly, and so I got the gardener to chop all the sick branches off so that the tree could have a new lease of life, and sacrificed all the berries that was budding. Had to anyways. Those berries wouldn’t have been nice to eat anyways. Coz it’d be all covered with disgusting parasites. Was quite worried coz the tree wasn’t sprouting new branches for a while, but all the worry was gone once I saw that first little green bud, signalling that the tree was ready to grow once again! There was a chance that the tree might die, considering that there were no leaves left and it couldn’t photosynthesize, and thus could die. But well it won’t now. yay!
Barbeque goodness;
July 20, 2008
Other than the (extra) guests that suddenly popped out of nowhere, it was good. But I swear, I could have had a fit, had I not called my aunt and screamed my head off.
Anyways, didn’t get to eat much, so I’m feeling a little sian coz I feel very cheated. Considering me and my sister put so much effort into the barbie and we didn’t really get to enjoy it much.
Playing cards with Sky, Nets, Ger, Marcus, my sis and my cousin Kelvin till the wee hours of the morning, and loads of elbowing and random violent strikes, and sudden dashes around the coffee table and incessant giggling. And watching random shows about mutant bats, and tapeworms and blast-from-the-past Chinese Drama Serials whilst curled up on the sofa and me and Sky shielding our eyes from gruesome images of random parasites. Sitting in the garden with Ger and Marcus at 4 in the morning, looking at the cloudy skies, and at the moon which peeked out from behind the clouds once in a while, and going to the park to swing on the swings, and reliving childhood memories. And stoning in the living room till 6 before crashing for 3 hours on the sofa, and peeling myself off the couch at 9 to go upstairs to sleep.
And that was my saturday
My results are out!

2:1 average, which means I get to keep the scholarship!
- Tort: 55 (POO)
- Understanding Law: 58
- Contract Law: 72
- Public Law:68
Tort’s the one that’s really irritating! But on the other hand, I had to choose question 2 which I knew would be marked very strictly. so yea, I kinda asked for it. haha! Oh wells. :

Okay, short, sweet and simple update (:
Vogue: Jaslin’s 21st Birthday Theme
And this super commendable cake. Yummy!! With Almond Liquor. Oh gosh. I think it rivals Guanajah.
And Japanese Grapes, which taste like little gummies. And cost a bomb.
Mentaiko Senbeis. They are good. I need to go down to Liang Court to buy some more.
Chocolate Indulgence: Tea with the Aunt at Plaza Sing.
Whee, Hallo.
And, BYE
I haven’t found the the time to sit down and blog. haha. I will do, soon!

Hallo Papersky! I love you too!
And Hallo Jassy Babe, I love you too!
HEH HEH HEH
I have decided;
July 2, 2008
Never to bowl in Pasir Ris Bowl ever again. For one, the lane sucks, and it has this tremendously hollow sound whenever the ball lands. Also, they do a SHITTY job of oiling the lanes, which makes it impossible to control my ball line (HELLO, HOOKING 30 boards with my ball is just ridiculous), and the control panel is so confusingly difficult to manipulate. Who the heck needs 4 different themes (you can choose between a prehistoric theme, a classic theme, and a futuristic theme, and I fail to remember the last one), and dumb animations of Pins wearing cowboy gear and running after another runaway pin.
SO NEVER will I go there to bowl again.
But on the bright side, the sister’s room is done, which looks like a very Lego inspired room.
Btw, after we went out, the door was painted red. (So try to imagine that red door, haha!)
Lor Mai Kai making in the aunt’s house!
It turned out okay, but the rice was a tad soft, and mushy. But yay, Nadia liked the rice!
And yummy cereal prawn at Different Taste at Pasir Ris. It was expensive though, 18 bucks for 6 prawns, but oh so worth it
The first mouthful of cereal is always the best. haha!
DONE!
